Rothko or Bacon?  Two new September blockbusters...   who's best?  Haven't seen either show yet, but am leaning towards Bacon because he's at the nicer venue (Tate Britain) and because he's a lil bit scary and because I've not already seen most of them in the flesh and because his work has not yet become submerged by Habitat.   (But that's terribly unfair to Rothko).  I'll probably do both and find out...

That particular bacon actually appears to have sides of bacon.

I think I wouldn't do an entire show of Rothko because it might be a bit much. You're totally right about the Habitatisation. That's not going to happen with Bacon I think.

Cool, when do u wanna go? I have membership too... but I'm starting tio think it is as about as exclusive as being a member of the human race. (The members-only evenings are always completely rammed!)
