Gratuitous pics of naughtiness
Dec. 13th, 2010 07:46 pmThe kittens nearly died from excitement on Saturday when I started to put the xmas decorations on the tree. Harriet climbed inside every single box that came down from the loft, including the small ones that contained strings of lights. Meanwhile Truffle ran around the room at high speed about 30 times, jumping in and out of the bauble boxes on each circuit. Actually getting the decorations onto the tree was a lengthy challenge... lets just say there was a lot of "helping".
Since Sunday morning they've done a reasonable job of feigning tree ennui... until G and I go to bed, at which point we hear the inevitable sound of baubles being attacked (and I spend the following morning re-attaching them to the tree).
This morning they decided that ennui was passé and progressed to climbing the tree and having a play fight about halfway up. (My pathetic attempts at disciplining them with "Naughty kitty! Oh, but wait while I get a picture" had about as much effect as you would expect.)
Overall these high speed antics have been impossible to photograph, but I have managed to put a few below the cut... (sorry the first one is a low-res phone pic).

Date: 2010-12-14 11:51 am (UTC)It's taken a long time with our two but they've finally got quite snuggly, it's lovely at night now as all four of us curl up on the sofa. Bliss.
We saw the lady we adopted them from on Saturday at the cat rescue xmas fair (it pains me to say Leeds Feline Friends as it sounds like some kind of furry plushy group) and she said one of her cats took 12 years to become snuggly. 12 years!!!!!!!!! Now that is patience.
