Good morning, fiends. Hope you all have unstressful Fridays lined up.

I am looking forward to this weekend, because I am going to inject CHRISTMAS into my house with a big fat syringe.

Tomorrow morning I am going to a wreath-making class with my (non-lj) friend Alice. And then in the afternoon am hoping to do a tree (assuming there are any left... everyone has gone mad putting them up early this year.) In previous years G and I would have waited for next weekend, but we learned our lesson last year when the only trees left in the whole of Richmond by 15th were blackened, deformed stumps.

Having said all that, I am fully anticipating kittengate x 100 and will be amazed if the tree makes it all the way to Xmas.

On Sunday I am either going to be having a jolly lunch with fiends (illness-permitting) or staying home and making mince pies and wrapping pressies.

How about you chaps? (Would you prefer me to elf off and stick my Xmas glitter where the sun don't shine?)

I'm going to brave the slushy streets and the post office and maybe 'Trose for some red stickered bargain hunting.....

We haven't bothered with a tree for a long time due to feline interference plus we haven't really got room, but we do decorate the big plants we have - in addition to the already there skull and bat encrusted tinsel, skull, bat and ghost shaped fairy lights, I'll be adding some black and grey felt baubles I made the other day.

I went to a wreath making class at the WI - it was great fun, hope you enjoy your class.

Oh god yes, The post office. I am still waiting for loads of stuff I ordered ages ago from amazon that needs to be wrapped and posted off to people before xmas. (Where is my stuff?)

I think it's only a matter of time before I join the WI.... (I was there in spirit many years ago)

One of the tips I learnt was sticking bunches of cinnamon sticks on a wreath - looks lovely and smells good too. Beware florists wire though - it is mean sharp stuff.

Fake tree, and it never goes up before Dec 15th! Xmas doesn't start until after my birthday at Chez Nous :)

Depending on the extent and aftermath of kittengate, I am not ruling out a fake tree for next year! (And if your birthday is in December, you are right to ban xmas until afterwards!)

I've had my tree up for a week but have yet to decorate it. None of my other decorations have gone up yet either. Oh the joys of having a young baby :(
