Oh god, somebody help me.  I've turned into a mad cat lady.  This is what happens when G leaves me home alone for a week.  Crisp sandwiches and internet cat porn.

I can't stop obsessing over my kitten-viewing appointment tomorrow.   I'm nervous, but can't quite explain why.  (Just a mish-mash of irrational fears, all of which end up with me not getting the kittens.)

Even worse...  there are new pictures of them on the rescue site and I have fallen totally in love with another of the siblings....

She's so gorgeous, I want to call her Truffle...   




And yes, I have already named the other two as well... (Harriet and Nutmeg). 
But I can only have two of them.  (Angst!)

I have everything crossed! I so hope someone hasn't already been in and bagged them. (I once watched a funny youtube video of a man who punished his cats' naughtiness with unsolicited cuddles - he called it corporal cuddling)

In other news I have attempted a waffle patterned dishcloth this evening, counting is not my strong point at the best of times and certainly not after a couple of martinis and a glass or two of red wine but as it's a dishcloth it doesn't matter if there is a mistake or two and on the whole it's looking okay-ish :-)

There is a cult of dishcloth knitting on ravelry... I think they're pretty good as training pieces, like samplers for different stitch patterns.

(Mind you, I'm so precious about my free time, I can't bring myself to devote several hours on something that will be used to wash dishes!)

This is a practice piece for the same stitch but as a tea cosy, I don't mind practising with dishcloth cotton though as they are my favourite kind of dishcloths - they can be bleached and last for ages and ages. I have a few and two of them are at least 5 years old.

Plus my Mum really loves them so she gets them as gifts (not as major presents but just something nice in the post every so often) but only when the stitch is right :-)

I can vouch for the fact that any number of cats over two, is no greater burden than having two.

I DO! I've signed adoption papers for Truffle and Harriet, but they're not ready to come home with me yet. I spent a little while with them today. Harriet is a cutie little darling and Truffle is terrified of me... (I need to give it time)
