I've finally sifted some more holiday pics and am posting a selection of them on here, for anyone who may be interested. (Everyone else, please just scroll on by...)
Behind the cut are a few from the brightly coloured world of the Italian Riviera. The whole place is PRETTY on a grand scale and looks as though someone has turned the contrast up. Specifically these are pics of Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino, which is renowned for its emerald green sea. We spent three days here pretending to be wealthy boat people and lounging around in a gorge hotel. I def recommend!
These first three are all glorious views from our hotel window, taken at different times of day...

This is the town centre of Santa Margherita. All of the buildings here and in Portofino are painted with trompe l'oeil sculptural facades - (I think it is a Ligurian tradition).

Santa Margherita has a lot of private beaches with imported sand... and this public one (which looks far too coarse and pebbley for bare feet!)

The view from a boat...

And finally a few pics of Portofino...

(Bigger sets with people in them will be found on Flickr & FB.)
Beware! Am planning to post some Bergamo ones in a bit... (yes, I do want to give you eye burn!)
