I am back to annoy you all... Hooray!

Am writing a mini post on the train back from Gatwick, having barely recovered from a flight with a piece of utter hell-spawn that screamed solidly for two and a half hours. Having made everyone want to commit hari Kari, the mother had the gall to coo "oh you're gorgeous" which made G and I look at each other doubtfully and mumble in unison... "no you're not, you look like your dad" (me) and "no you're not, you have beady little eyes" (G).

Evil? Nous?

Still, I am a lil bit glad to be back home. I loved this holiday, but there's a lot to be said for your own bed, decent telly and a language that embraces sarcasm. (Obv not the British weather)

Hope you're all set for fabby weekends! Did i miss any news?

Welcome back :-)

My Mum's been staying with me for a few days (went back home yesterday) and whilst she was here I put her to work for me - I am now the proud owner of a lovely new cardigan and two sets of armwarmers. I'm still knitting cakes.

She made a cardigan and two sets of arm warmers in the same week? I am impressed - she must be a super-speedy knitter. (I can just about manage a small item every couple of months)

She is super speedy - one set of armwarmers she started on the Tuesday morning then we went out to look at a patchwork exhibition at Leeds Art Gallery and a mooch round the shops and the she worked on them again in the evening and had them finished by the next evening about 7pm after another day of lunching and gadding about.
