Date: 2010-08-28 05:53 pm (UTC)My 2 and a quarter year old nephew has been to the zoo today and when I asked him what he saw he told me simply and accurately 'animals'. He is very disappointed that there are no elephants or giraffes anywhere on Jersey but he was very taken with the orangutangs and the meerkats - the meerkat enclosure has a glass bubble in the middle where you can stand and they run past or come up to the glass to look at you.

Date: 2010-08-29 11:23 am (UTC)On other topic, can't remember whether I mentioned my dates for Bergamo. We'll be arriving on the Sat evening (11th Sep) in time for dinner somewhere and then staying all day on the Sunday before heading to Peschiera on the Monday morning. I would like to bimble around the old town and find nice places to eat out, but we have no specific plans so please feel free to suggest good things to do or see in Bergamo. (I'm assuming you and Ivan will be up for lunch and/or dinner?)
I so can't wait to be on hols in lovely Italy...
