This is not a proper Saturday

Oh god...  pity me, fiends.  I am halfway through the horrific annual task of sorting out my wardrobe/bedroom.  The aim is merely to get rid of enough stuff to enable the wardrobe door to close and to make sure I have some suitable clean clothes for my hol.  So why does it take HOURS and HOURS?  So far I have filled 4 charity bags and generated a truly monstrous mountain of fabric requiring laundering and ironing...   the end is nowhere near nigh.

Worst of all... the act of writhing around trying on several pairs of tight jeans made me feel like I'd been to the gym.... except without the benefi of being able to fit into the jeans.  Bastards.

Meanwhile I am positively CRAVING a sandwich containing some hot Colman's mustard.  I almost don't care what else is in it... the mustard is the important bit.

Maybe after I have a nap...

Hope you lot are having more fun.

I'm dealing with the usual post-holiday come down. I know I love my house but when I've been away from it in one that is properly decorated and has real furniture in it and no clutter, I tend to forget and walk around in disgust at my slutty slovenly way of living. I am going to have a coffee and read the Saturday glossies instead.

OH yes I know that feeling. I'd say it's pretty much the law to do nice things when you get back from hols, to ward off back-to-reality depression.

The Times glossy has a bit about middle-aged living (I borrowed the mag). I am only 38 yet the bit about the kitchen is me completely. I just despair. I think maybe I need gin instead of coffee.
