On a completely unrelated note I watched Twiglet last night (having never read the books). It's all a bit Grrrl power isn't it? (NOT)

But despite relentless heckling from me (mainly about Edwards's OTT greeny-powder makeup and Bella's patheticness) I have to confess I got quite into it by the end. I especially liked the vampy baseball game. (Also it was quite cute when the vamps tried to cook pasta.) Can't pretend I wouldn't have fancied Edward when I was 12. He's like a famine poster version of Robert Smith.

No, socks and heels = fashion stupidity. Honestly trust me on this.

I've tried to find the picture of Lady Diane wearing frilly socks and heels in the early 80's as this would instantly cure you of the notion that heels and socks = good thing but alas I cannot find it, but trust me it's truly awful.

I made truffles last week - this time they were Jack Daniel flavoured. V tasty but even messier to make in hot weather.

For want of visual imagery, I shall sit here and put mental effort into imagining Diane in frilly socks with heels. Dreamy sigh..

As for truffles, I can well imagine the warm weather effect.... in summer I might be tempted to reduce the cream quota and use v. dark chocolate. (Mind you white choc does make such lovely vodka truffles)

COz their pony legs and high heels mean they can't catch up with us when we are chasing younger men, innit!
