Watching my plot unfold...
May. 18th, 2010 11:19 amDear fiends, I am in criminal mastermind heaven. G has just opened his birthday presents from me, all wrapped in brown paper and string (because he likes that kind of thing.)
The presents included a framed old photograph, two graphic novels, a classic Italian cookbook and a set of food presentation rings. The food rings had a little German logo on them that G mis-read as "Kitchen Poof " (so of course they will be known as this henceforth).
The last present was a small, black velvet ring box. I had a momentary attack of the evils and told G it was a sovereign ring. For a fleeting moment he believed me and I read nothing less than fear on his little face. But then he opened it and what the box really contained was a key, on a small silver, tubular keyring.
He looked at me with befuddlement for a few mins and then went back to studying the key... thus discovering that the keyring was in fact a hollow tube containing a tiny strip of paper.
The message on the paper read: The Times. 18th May 2010. Read Carefully.
I am now watching the plot unfold from here... (hee hee!)
Wish him luck.

Date: 2010-05-18 04:45 pm (UTC)Incidentally, I have no idea what a "food presentation ring" is. I imagine it's some kind of circus ring but for chefs. Clearly I'll never make it as a kitchen poof.
