Good evening fiends.

In a bid to force myself to get on with things, I've just laced my diary with lots of little exploding messages designed to pop up at me in a shouty manner throughout the week.  Hope it works.

So are you all ready for Thursday?  I've now done four separate web surveys to decide who I should vote for.  All four of them are telling me to vote Lib Dem.  This is not exactly controversial where I live (our local candidate is Vince Cable) but it still makes me feel a bit sad for poor old GB.  Disloyal, even.  I've always quite liked him...

Is it bad form to tell people who you are voting for?  It feels a bit like telling people my boob measurement...

This week my attention keeps being drawn by the bickery tweets of India Knight and Kirsty Allsop.  They appear to be good friends but with strictly opposing political views, which makes them tweet sassy little comments back at each other all day.  (I'm sure I don't need to tell you which way round they are...  Kirsty could not be any more old-skool-tory-girl if she lived inside a Jilly Cooper novel and spent her days riding Bojo around at S&M polo matches).

As you might expect, Kirsty is also supremely annoying on twitter, to the extent that I have no idea why I'm still following her.  (This is the same weird phenomenen that lures me into watching Sophie Dahl on TV and reading Martha Stewart articles on the interwebs.  I simply cannot splains...)  Today she lost her rag and tweeted a big public "fuck off" to soneone who took the piss out of her children's names.  "Bay Atlas Kristie", apparently.  (snigger)

India Knight, on the other hand, is someone I've long nursed a soft spot for.  She combines understated wit and shallow frivolity in a way that does it for me every time.  And, my god, that woman knows about shopping.  If it weren't for her tweets I'd probably give up reading twitter altogether.  (Well, alright, her and Charlie.).

Who else is shallow and witty?  I want more...

"like a Baywatch jetski"
oh god, don't start me off. Let's just be thankful to the lords of Feck that polo matches are too posh to have Jim Bowen commentating at them ;-)

Are you on Twitter too? I'm themeanestcat... though I tend to read more than I tweet. (did you hear the words "shallow and witty" like a call to arms and come a-running? :-)

Bay Atlas Kristie sounds like a pedigree pony.

It's such an incongruous trilogy of names ...makes me think "Pony! He-man! Valley girl!" In rapid succession.

India Knight loves Georgette Heyer and so therefore must be a good egg.

I can't bear Kirsty but can ignore her in a way I can't ignore the similarly loathsome Dahl. But it seems we will no longer be able to shout at Dahl's smug simpering and crap cookery as viewing figures were disappointingly low and so there won't be a second series. I'm not sure if I'm relieved or miffed.

I never tell anyone how I'm going to vote. However, living where I do, MASSIVE assumptions are made.

It brings out the rebellious side of me, and that's not a good thing.
