Happy Friday fiendlets!

Tonight G and I watched Layer Cake for the first time.  About 3/4 of the way through, I suddenly pressed pause and bellowed at G "there has to be a point to Sienna Miller!"

What I meant. obv, was that, by the law of cinema, her appearance would have to turn out to be some kind of necessary plot point...   n'est ce pas?   Anyway it turns out that the point to Sienna Miller only becomes evident when you are 99.999999999% through the film.

Overall I rather enjoyed it, despite my pathological allergy to leery mockey tossers.  If nothing else it has occasional moments of satisfying clickety clack...   (and I expect some of you are liable to go all unneccessary over Daniel Craig).

What I am loving more than anything right now is Archer...  albeit on the improbable Channel 5.  Oh, for the rarity of proper belly laughs.  I do declare that Archer is the funniest thing on telly right now and it pains me to wait until Thursday for the next episode.  (Though temporary consolation is available in the return of You Have Been Watching - hoorah!)

I really liked Layer Cake, especially for the presence of so many ex-Brookside actors ;-)

Also Dumbledore is marvellous in it. He did such a convincing job of playing a cockney-rogue-turned-posh.

Layer Cake = Craig's best film

Did you see the alternative ending? - well worth watching

Ooh. I didn't know there were two endings... (I would guess the one I saw was not for an American audience)

Heh... cos being a poor man's Kate Moss just doesn't seem enough personal validation otherwise

She's the TKMaxx Kate.

Having watched Stardust, I think she's very true to her character in that; spoilt, petulant, undeserving...
