Political Knitting anyone?
Aug. 9th, 2008 07:38 pmHee hee... last week's Guardian included a knitting supplement which introduced the concept of 'political knitting' (while simultaneously giving away free patterns for such hard-core items as banana cosies). The main contributor to the article was a 'rebel' knitter who had been sued by the BBC for giving away free Dr Who inspired knitting patterns on her blog.
So, while pondering the truly mystifying topic of political knitting, I came across two amusing links...
First of all, may I introduce Knitler (you know you want one!).... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article1448685.ece
Secondly, how about an underground urban tagging group called Knitta.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knitta
