Today I said goodbye to my darling, sweet Jessica.
I think it was the right thing to do... she was 18 and down to 1/3 of her body weight. Her digestive system & bowels seemed to have stopped working. She was in a lot of discomfort and having to be bathed constantly. The only thing the vet could think of was a full internal clear-out under general anaesthetic, but it would not have provided a cure and he was not sure she would survive the anaesthetic.
A few of you knew her... and despite the fact that she seems to have been 'elderly' for so long, you might remember when she was a fat little minx, de-decorating my christmas tree at every opportunity.
I will miss her.
(This is just to mark the day, so have switched off comments)
