The harder she works, the cuter she looks
Feb. 17th, 2010 06:14 pmGood evening fiendies. I'm sure it must be time for me to pop in and throw some more vacuous ponderings at you...
Last night I gave G an affectionate slap on the bottom as he was cooking my dinner and it caused me to wonder whether I might be a 1950s husband trapped in the body of a 21st century woman... I'm sure that would explain all manner of bad behaviour on my part.
Later on we watched the entire first assignment of Sapphire and Steel (5 episodes back to back... probably a bit OTT). Have to say I found the character of Lead extraordinaily annoying. He seemed to just lurk around the house giggling the whole time... how is that useful?
On a fleetingly serious note, I can't make up my mind what I think about the Ray Gosling story. I'm inclined to feel some sympathy towards him... but then every time I hear him speak he comes across as a bit... well... untrustworthy. (I'm now thinking that if you're going to make a euthanasia pact with your partner, you probably ought to get it in writing.)
Skipping back to the shallows, I'm a few chapters into book two of the Steig Larsson trilogy, and have noted that we're still on the theme of "men = disgracefully evil monsters" and "women = put-upon victims". He gets away with it due to the inclusion of a kick-arse heroine and grippathon plot lines, but still...
(Ooh, enough of my waffle. It's time to skip off for some Tapas, yum!)

Date: 2010-02-17 08:28 pm (UTC)Lead doesn't giggle, he does some sort of booming chuckle. And he's dead strong, that's what he's for.
Silver is far more cool (he's in assignment 3. And 6)
