*lost for words*

WOW!

Oh, and I love the reflected bauble in the tiny mirror (which is also one of the best decorations I've seen).

Why thank you :-)

I spotted the little mirrors in House of Fraser a few years ago and nearly expired from desire... they only had a handful left, in rectangle, round and oval shapes (I bought the lot).

You always did have great taste.

You're kind, especially given my negligible ability to show restraint.

I suppose in the context of christmas, "great taste" is kind of missing the point ;-p

My flat is delighted that you think so, especially as it has just been tidied to within an inch of its life and had lots of lipstick applied on top... (it doesn't always make this kind of effort for the camera)

Wow - looks absolutely beautiful.

Knocks my Spongebob Sugar Canes and skull fairy lights on the umbrella plant into a cocked hat. We have decided against a tree as such as Mapp and Lucia can't be trusted not to destroy it.

When Jess was younger she used to assume that the tree was there for solely her amusement. She'd sit and watch me hang the baubles on and then as soon as I finished, she'd walk over and knock one off, chase it around the room until she'd lost it, then go over and get another. Usually I would come home from work to find the lower half of the tree bare, and the baubles all over the place. It was so audaciously naughty that of course I found it the cutest thing ever... and she never got told off.

Thank you... (I think I might need to join CA, as I may just be a teensy bit christmasaholic)

That's lovely! And I want one of those teeny mirrors.

I bet you can still get them, it's the sort of thing the larger department stores tend to sell, where they have a whole floor of christmas decs.

Thank you! It's really just any excuse for bling... the main reason I can't resist christmas, even when I am trying to be ebeneezer ;-)

Nothing wrong with a bit of bling at Christmas! I always aspire to a house that sparkles, but I don't often manage it - it's not an option when you own two Siamese that are bent on destruction :-)

Your flat should be appearing in those luxury lifestyle magazines; it looks stunning.

Cats are indeed the enemy of christmas. Jess used to undo my decorating as fast as I was putting it up... but now she's old and decrepit it's become a lot easier.

As for the flat, it's just artful photography... candlelight hides all sins!
:-p

Have you decorated Glen? A few baubles might brighten him up.

I've made him some sparkly nipple tassels out of tinsel, but for some reason he doesn't want to wear them...

I was laughing so loud I had to explain that to nutter Kriss who only shook her head sadly and said "poor Glen".

What's even worse... if Childeric reads this, he'll probably be thinking "ooh, give them to me! I'll wear them to dinner with my parents!"
