Rocking around the... Oh, bugger
Dec. 18th, 2009 08:02 pmThis weekend I was intending to come over all domestic glittergirl and decorate the Xmas tree... however we're a bit buggered because our local tree supplier has sold out of trees. And everywhere else will only have dog end trees left by now... and G hasn't got his car keys anyway.
What to do? We're either going to have to seek out a micro-sized artificial tree that will fit on the bus or decorate Helga the dummy as an emergency stand-in. Whaddya reckon?
If all else fails, I will stuff the decs where the snow don't fall and just drink mulled liquids a-plenty... and maybe get some of that gingery/beery stuff in that you people have recommended. May as well get into the festive mood, eh?
And speaking of snow... Grrrski! And Double Grrski! I want more! (It's alright for you smuggy-pants York bods posting Narnia pics on FB... all we've had down here are a few meagre shakes of icing sugar). Even worse, the BBC says it's going to be sunny this weekend and rainy by Tuesday. Tsk!
Still, in perkier news, my updated Spotty playlist now has 50-odd Xmas songs on it (gadzuks, it's going to drive me nuts). In case any of you want to share in the insanity, here is a link: http://open.spotify.com/user/themeanestcat/playlist/06E2plrZl1XWuprfERfO9y
My current favourite is Feliz Navidad (track 6) which is so jolly it makes me want to skip around a non-existent Christmas tree, wearing a feather boa.
Anyway I hope you're all having lovely evenings... I'm planning to prod G until he eases my woes with nice food and mulledy goodness.
