Hello fiends. Hope you are all having lovely Sundays. Today I really must write my xmas cards. So in customary tradition, if you would like to receive a real-life physical card from me, please reply asap and include your address, even if you think I already have it. (If you're using Facebook, send me an email, If you're on Livejournal, the comments are screened so nobody else will see)

This year G and I are hosting Xmas dinner for my siblings. We're currently in menu planning mode and might try something different this year... (subject to testing).

A quick Q... have any of you tried Crabbie's Alcoholic Ginger Beer that is suddenly being advertised? Is it nice?

We haven't put any decorations up yet... saving that for next weekend. I think that's when I will start to feel really festive. I really love xmas lights...

I'm feeling quite pleased with progress made on my xmas shopping. Last week it all seemed hopeless and unachievable, but today it feels under control - hoorah! Yesterday G and I bought our main presents for each other. (We both know what we're getting this year... which might seem unexciting, but actually it's rather fab having the anticipation of opening something that you know you definitely want).

So... it's 2:27 pm. I suppose I ought to get dressed...

EDIT: Thanks to those of you who've posted your addresses - I will PM you with mine if you don't already have it. (I'm only unscreening comments that don't have addresses in them). X

The Crabbie's is quite good but a little bit sweet. Nice for this time of year, certainly when you want a cold beer that's also a bit warming.

Thanks... (unscreening in case anyone else wants to know). I think I might get some, it sounds like exactly the sort of nonsense that I like to drink around Xmas-time.

Have you tried Badger's "Blandford Fly" ale? Gingery yumminess.

I know their ginger wine, which is really nice and warming and very reasonably priced at Aldi.

Posted my need-posting Christmas presents and most of my cards yesterday, though only because I've been so tired and braindead in the last week that writing cards and wrapping parcels was deliciously therapeutic and useful too.

I bet your christmas dinner will be amazing.

I *love* wrapping up xmas presents... I could do it for a living I think.

I bought a bottle of Stones ginger wine a couple of xmases ago and G took the piss out of me for buying an "old lady drink" but I thought it was really nice.
