Disappointing doctors
Apr. 13th, 2009 12:41 pmAm back from a lovely weekend in somerset. 'Twas lots of fun, though for some reason yesterday felt the need to exact some revenge for the night before... (I knew I didn't need that last cognac.)
After we got home we watched the Easter special of Dr Who... (oh dear, oh dear).
Still, today I was able to remain ensconced in my boudoir until 11:30am with crossword, cat and lovely dark coffee... bank holidays, I love thee. And we have a big wedge of cake in the kitchen, baked by G's nephew. Mmmm...
So what are you kiddies up to on this fine Spring holiday? Are you all bustling around like little bundles of activity or loafing around in your jim jams?
Last night I was tortured by terrible dreams of failure and inefficiency. It was all very stressful. I mentioned it to G and he said "at your core you really are something of an Aryan aren't you?" Oh dear. This is the same G who raised an eyebrow and said "er, have you met Sue?" when one of his sisters-in-law recommended that Natalie's daughter could call me 'Sunny' due to my sunny disposition :-)
He's just being unkind. I am actually quite sunny if you discount the blackened despair forced upon me by humankind on a daily basis. And even that tends to ease up if I stop reading the Metro for a few weeks... (or spend some time looking at baby hedgehogs.) Example: (I think the required response to this picture is "Flipping heck") http://www.flickr.com/photos/amjamjazz/3406353191/
So anyway... what's for lunch? Anyone care to inspire me? Tell me about your culinary magnificence - you know you want to.

Oh yes... Dr Who... it really was riding the special bus wasn't it?
Ah well, I am going to watch Red Dwarf tonight -- at least you're supposed to laugh at that.

As for red dwarf, we have taped the new ones and will probably watch 'em back to back. (Oops, did I just admit that out loud)
