My only weakness is ... well, never mind, never mind

I'm filled with delicious languor today because I'm off work and planning on frittering the day away on fripperous activities.  How 'bout you?
  
I have plenty of chores to do but I shall ignore those.  I might see if I can make the cat tut at my laziness.  I could knit some of Elijah 2's body....   or I could just play Lego Batman.  I'm not going to think about work if I can help it.  I shall banish it from my head.  Perhaps I will stay in my pyjamas all day...  ahhhhhh.  :-)
      
G has been taking chef pills this week with lots of amazing food on demand.  My tastebuds are happy, but my waistband is raising an eyebrow in the style of Margaret from The Apprentice.  Among other things, he made the most outstandingly divine baked white chocolate cheesecake on Monday.  God, it was gorgeous...   
  
Last night I dreamt I ordered kittens on the internet and when I opened the box they were little dried up husks, but I added water and they rehydrated into cats running around the house and being naughty.  Weird and cute.
  
In other news, my geek assimilation programme has been fast-tracked by the arrival of a Battlestar Galactica box set.   I've watched the first two episodes so far...  seems ok...  but am I going to love it?    (Geek interlude:  episode 2 bothered me...  the ship keeps jumping through space to escape Cylons, but every 33 minutes on the dot the Cylons find them again, and as a result nobody on the ship has slept for about 135 hours.   This means that the Cylons have now caught up with them more than 200 times....   so why, in all that time, did nobody think "hey, what happens if we jump after 32 minutes.  Surely that way they will never catch up with us.   Cos if that works, we can just keep doing that for a while and get some sleep in shifts" .... no?)
       
This weekend we're going to a 40th birthday party in Somerset.   (How did it happen that my party invitations have all become 40ths... what happened to 21sts and 30ths?)  Oh time, you are cruel.

Don't forget the FTL drive has to ramp itself up a bit so jumping every 33 minutes is hard enough as it is. Plus where would the excitement be if you new they were outsmarting the Cylons?
