Heil Helga!
Jan. 29th, 2009 02:11 pmI have a new friend... welcome Helga, the cheapest clothes horse I could find on ebay.

I got a bit of a shock when I opened the box, cos she was disconcertingly large... apparently I have inadvertently purchased the 'long' model (yes, yes, I Know!) When we first put her together, the smallest she would go was about 6'4" (she looked comical enough standing next to G, but I would have had to stand on a chair to photograph her). So after much violent squishing G managed to force the metal pole through her internal organs and bring her down by a foot.
Of course there is nowhere sensible for her to live in our weeny residence, so she is fated to double up as an all-purpose hanging surface. Perhaps she can be next year's christmas tree. (At least she's classier than Stella, eh
steer?)

Date: 2009-01-29 07:41 pm (UTC)Well, Stella is not looking her best and the puncture repair kit did not help as much as you'd think!
We do have a dressmaker's dummy too but she's an extra wide with those little adjustment cogs -- she's not really much of an adornment to a room.

Date: 2009-01-29 08:35 pm (UTC)I had one of those adjustable ones when I was a teenager... (Helga #1). She must have been like yours cos even on her smallest setting she was about 3 times bigger than my dress size so she ended up living in the shed.
