Restless boredom actually just led to me googling Alistair Appleton...   for no other reason than a desire to look at something unfeasibly pretty and eyeball soothing for a few minutes.

It turns out that, when he is not busy presenting property porn on telly, he spends his time being a buddhist and a psychotherapist and giving workshops in meditation ...and being happily gay.

Tsk.

Never mind ladies.  There's no harm in looking...

My current pretty thing to look at is Michael Fassbender, having liked him an _awful_ lot in the new X-Men film.

Alistair is rather lovely too, I must admit.

Ooh, yes, ditto on Fassbender!

(Magneto was already my fav X-man, but is even more so now).

OMG I spent all day Tuesday googling pictures of Fassy (when I should have been writing an essay).

Did you like the scene of him and McAvoy on the bed together? Phwoar. When the film ended Mr Hoor said to me 'Why are you smiling like that?'. Oooh yeah.

This is my favourite Guinness ad now.

That ad is just dangerously lovely.

The scene on the bed was quite nice, yes. But honestly, my favourite bit was when they were training, and McEvoy made him cry. There was something unutterably sexy about that.

Don't judge me.

Hahaha!

I also liked the bit in Argentina when he had a really tight shirt on.

Any any scene where he had a really nice suit on. I don't like when he becomes Magneto and has to wear a stupid helmet that looks too big for his head. Can't Magneto wear a smart Italian suit while he's out smiting?

Yes, some of the outfits were rather silly. But then, he has to morph into Ian McKellan, which is as good a reason as any to practice his swish. But the helmet is daft, and probably messes his hair up.

I think he could probably smite without the smart Italian suit, if he wanted. A spot of naked smiting is good for the soul, don't you think?

Or topless at the very least...

Y'know, you're not making it any easier for me to focus on statistical analysis here.

Not quite as pretty, but I was rather taken by the guy playing Jackson Brodie in Case Histories this week...

I haven't watched it yet, but I believe the actor is the same chap who plays Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films... (and has quite a lady-following!)

Yes! I've never seen the attraction before, but he was really quite lovely as Brodie!
