I know I don't normally use LJ to blog about knitting, but after my tragic fail post the other day, I thought I would just post a small update to say that the angora scarf has survived by the skin of its teeth!

I had to do some serious damage limitation and, although it has def shrunk a bit, a small bonus of its near-death experience is that it now hardly sheds at all.  And, by god, it is SOFT!

As for other news... well there isn't any  - yet, hence am still wittering on about knitting.   

Am due to pop on Wednesday...  (the day after tomorrow) but who knows!

Afraid I don't have access to painkillers or drugs more sophisticated than red wine and I think Ruprecht is only allowed so much of that.

Do you think so? I think Grenache is quite blokey as a wine -- I mean it's quite robust and spicy as a grape. Plus, if there were a fifth musketeer it would sound like a good name for him. If Grenache and Merlot got into a fight it's definitely Grenache that would kick Merlot's head in. Merlot is still a bloke's name but it's a bloke who coughs weakly into a silk hanky and has an interest in needlework.

I'm afraid I gave into temptation over the weekend and bought a little companion for Owl and Frog and menagerie. I'll either post him, or bring him over when I next see you, which won't be long. x
