This afternoon I finished knitting the finest, softest, most delicious lacey stole known to man. Having started it months ago, I decided to go on a mission to get it finished in the last few days before I run out of time for such things. When it was finished I ponced around in it for a while and declared it a thing of beauty, probably the best thing I've ever made, using two balls of crazily luxurious French angora that comes in a box...
...and then I promptly felted it to oblivion.

Here's hoping that limp grey dish rags are all the rage for neckwear this coming autumn.

Date: 2011-06-04 11:03 pm (UTC)I'm trying to see if I can salvage it as a scarf, as it is still very very soft - albeit shrunken and not lacey. Might have to see how it looks tomorrow when it's dry...
