Yesterday I read a mini-article in the New Scientist asserting that high levels of homophobia and stigmatisation in Russia is contributing to an increase in AIDS.   With that in mind, I wonder whether the Russian government might consider bringing back this delightful war propaganda poster from yester year...

What on earth is that picture supposed to do to help with the war effort? Is it really a 1940s picture? How very strange indeed. The soldier looks kind of surprised by it.
