True confession:  I watched the end of Marchlands last night.  That's twice in a row ITV has tricked me into watching a series.  First Downton Abbey and now this.  What is the world coming to?  Have to confess it wasn't bad.

Still 'twas only a vague and throwaway diversion compared with The Killing, which I'm so pathetically hooked on, I actually wailed aloud at the idea of missing out on it next week in Venice.  Sarah Lund has a new jumper and everything... 

Well I suppose I'd better go and seek out some chocolate.  Am horribly addicted to sweet things at the moment.  Bad Ruprecht

The Killing is getting creepy!!! What's with those chopped lights in Sarah's apartment?!

I'm glad her partner has chilled out around her. He even seems to be picking up some of her smarts and keeping his mouth shut when he needs to.

Well for quite a while I thought it might be Theis' creepy friend - but now I am not so sure. It's currently tempting to suspect a managed conspiracy to frame Troels (plus I really don't trust Rie) but the likelihood of abusing and murdering a girl for nothing other than political shenanigans just seems too wrong to countenance...

Out of interest, I'm wondering what was the point of that tiny side plot where Theis went to see the dodgy restaurant-owning guy about staying in the apartment and there was a hint of history between them. I wondered if that might come up again...

(Meanwhile the other half of my brain is afraid to speculate in case I guess the right answer and spoil it for myself!!)

My boyfriend and I have had the same thoughts - and he has been thinking mostly about Theis visit too. He thinks it might have to do with that crime in the past.

I also thought it was Theis creepy friend until the plot developed that Nenna was seeing Faust. But now I'm thinking that it's Troel's friend and co-worker! (that woman saw someone shorter than him standing by the window - plus he also knew the password to the laptop).

I also don't trust Rie!

Also (this is a bit off-the-wall... ) but G pointed out that the lack of DNA for the crime itself could point to the perp being a woman.

Argh - must stop for fear of guessing the answer. I want to be surprised.

G has a very good point... I hadn't thought of that!

It is quite striking how the murder looks clean and thorough on one hand; and messy on the other.

But remember that Lund's boyfriend pinned down the killer's psychology, pointing at a psychopathy...

The Killing is getting very tense. There's no way that it's Troels, tho' I do want to know what he was doing that weekend.
