Someone tell me...   what IS it with kittens and string?  I mean it's not as if any of their natural prey are string-shaped (is it?)

It seems that premium string is the most deserving of fang and claw and can be sniffed out from cupboards and several layers of wrapping.  Cashmere, alpaca, silk, angora...  you name it.  My house has become an extended kitten treasure-hunt for string of non-sheep origin.
