Mischief, thy name is kitten
Dec. 31st, 2010 10:24 amWhat's the most invigorating way to be woken up in the morning? I say it is having a kitten land with a heavy splat on your head, along wth a pile of books from a high shelf. (Harriet, who else?)
These girls are getting too big for their 'tude. G and I are spending most days going "what was that?" as we hear things go crash and thump up and down the flat. They race around at such speed that a suggestible mortal could easily suspect a haunting. You hear a thump and by the time you get there there is no kitten in sight. Similarly we're well used to walking into the living room to find the rocking chair rocking away all by itself in ghostly "woman in black" style, having been vacated seconds earlier by a high speed kitten.
Right now I'm watching Truffle hide some knitting needles under the living room rug while Harriet runs about inanely with a plastic bag in her mouth. (I feel like one of those working dads who has time off at Xmas and finds out for the frst time what it's like to spend all day at home with the kids....)
