Agh! Just what I need this week - a brand new, horrible, stabbing pain near my right shoulder blade. Sadly I don't think this is labour-related... it's too high up. I fear I've pulled a muscle through lugging around this huge, ever-fatter baby for an extra 9 days. Neurofen gel is doing its worst.
Meanwhile I've just eaten a whole pineapple, as instructed by people on Facebook, swished down with raspberry leaf tea. (It's a weird sort of breakfast when you think that that pineapple is effectively a very small tree trunk.)

The complementary therapy session was interesting on Wed, involving one really nice bit and two less so. The acupressure was not especially nice... basically a case of being prodded until the midwife located some v. sensitive spots in my hands and shoulders, which then got pressed hard for several minutes. The next bit was lovely - an aromatherapy foot massage and a bottle of uterus-stimulating oils to take home. The last bit was a second attempt at a sweep... less than pleasant, but more successful than Monday. (Rup experienced the closest thing to human touch, as the midwife was able to sweep the top of his head through the membrane).
So... perhaps I should relent today and pack my hospital bag. Or I could just feck about like usual.
This bump is now officially ridiculous. The boy is still growing by the day... (groan)
