Aug. 10th, 2008 01:53 pmMmmm... today is delightfully domestic.
As ever, it revolves around food. For breakfast, G made apple and cinnamon drop scones which we piled with raspberries and blueberries and maple syrup. I suspect that is a terrible bastardisation of cuisines, but it tasted good :-) Tonight we're planning to recreate one of our lovely meals from Nice... baked, rosemary-stuffed sea bass and potatoes roasted in olive oil with onions and peppers. (I like recipes where the oven does all the work).
This week I've been trying to knit a pair of miniature Mary Janes for Natalie's baby, but she will have to give birth to a yeti because they keep turning out far too big. I'm on my third attempt now using 2mm needles and the tightest tension humanly possible... if it doesn't work out I'm gonna scrap it and try these instead... http://xalleykatx.livejournal.com/50196.html
My poor elderly puss cat has lost weight and is on antibiotics again for yet another bladder infection. (On the bright side it means she gets to have tuna every day for 2 weeks, so she's quite happy really.)
Right now we three humans are having a discussion on whether to go out for a bit... something strange has come over me because I actually feel like going for a walk, just for its own sake. Natalie is clearly horrified by this suggestion and thinks I have been taken over by an android ;-O Perhaps we will go to a gallery instead...
